C4I contract for Elbit

Having recently been awarded a significant multi-million dollar contract for the Land 200 BGC3 system for the Australian Army, Elbit Systems has been awarded a US$130 million contract to supply a Latin American Army (Chile?) with C4I and EW systems.

The project, to be performed over the next three years, is a part of that Army's extensive modernisation program and is designated for all echelons, from the manoeuvring forces up to the command headquarters.

The new, unified communications network will facilitate a real-time common operational picture of the battlefield providing the land forces with enhanced operational performance and situational awareness, as well as improved force protection and prevention of ‘friendly fire'.
