As part of sewage pond refurbishment works for Defence, Duratec is installing a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) liner to sewage Ponds 1 and 4 at RAAF Pearce in Bullsbrook, WA.
The works include:
• Dewatering of ponds
• Clearing of pond base, embankments and surrounds to good ground
• Compaction of subgrade
• Replacement of leaking concrete asbestos pipes
• Trenching for liner installation
• Installation of HDPE liner
• Backfilling of trenches
• Installation of limestone access track
• Recommissioning of ponds
Duratec has completed several projects at RAAF Pearce including maintenance and lead paint removal to base buildings, structural fabrication works to four hangars and associated out buildings, and lighting upgrades to workshops and hangars.
Duratec is also currently removing and replacing diesel storage tanks at RAAF Pearce's light vehicle refuelling facility.
