ADM was recently given the opportunity to play with a new monitoring and surveillance camera, the Dark Ops Pro XD. We passed it over for assessment to a young professional photographer to be put through its paces, and it revealed the wildlife that passed by - on two legs and four.

This is a dual lens camera, ideal for monitoring farms, environmentally-sensitive areas, work and storage sites, and unlit areas around premises. The camera performs equally well both day and night.

The camera supports the latest “low-blur” technology, making it a great choice for quick and simple deployment in the field.

The camera can capture up to 10,000 images, and with a 0.15 second trigger speed, it can capture anything travelling past its night-vision lens. 6 AA batteries grant long-lasting performance. The camera also has an 80-ft IR motion detection range and takes 24mp pictures for exceptional clarity in four different picture resolutions.

This camouflaged camera records video in 1080p with sound recorded in bites ranging from five seconds to two minutes. A delay can be set between each image or recording to one, five, 10, 20, 30 seconds or one, two, five, 10, 30, or 60 minutes, and it can handle multi-shots of up to eight images.

The camera’s impressive 1.5-inch screen displays a picture-info screen with date, time, moon phases, temperature, barometric pressure and camera ID.
