ASPI-Hewlett Packard Defence and Security Lunch - Ambassador Chen Yuming

His Excellency Mr Chen Yuming, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China, was born in Guangdong in July 1956.

He began his diplomatic career in 1976 and has seen service in Romania, Lithuania and the United Nations (New York).

These representational duties have been complemented by appointments, including at senior levels, in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Beijing.

Mr Chen was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Commonwealth of Australia in October 2010.
