The Qinetiq Aircraft Engine Failure Analysis Course is designed to provide the students with the process to analysing engine systems/part failures from in-flight or test cell incidents in order to find the root cause, and respond with corrective action.

Case studies from course workbooks and participants are used as examples in the classroom.  This course is applicable to all types of engines and consists of classroom presentations, discussions, and workshop sessions.  The student will gain valuable insight from listening to experiences shared by other participants and from hands on exercises.

Upon completion of this course, the student will understand basic procedures in the management of an investigation, the basic tools to substantiate results, and respond to root cause issues. The participants will also review basic failure modes and key processes used in part manufacture and field support.
