ACOR Consultants has successfully completed a merger transaction with Rudds Consulting Engineers.

The merger extends ACOR’s national footprint into Canberra to improve servicing of its growing government client base. With the addition of 70 personnel, the ACOR Group will grow to more than 400, making it one of the largest Australian, employee-owned engineering consultancies in the country.

The Rudds office in the Australian Capital Territory will trade under the new name of ACOR-Rudds Consultants.

“Underpinned by our shared values, we plan to continue strategically building our reputation for the delivery of high quality multi-disciplinary engineering services," ACOR Managing Director, Michael Goodwin said. "Rudds outstanding market reputation, comprehensive skill base and locations naturally complements our existing capabilities and will help build our collective group into one of the most experienced and forward-thinking engineering consultancies in the country.”

“In reaching this decision we placed a large emphasis on organisational culture, our ability to maintain a quality product and opportunities for continued staff development," Rudds Director, Andrew Beattie said. "We firmly believe that the opportunities provided by merging our business into ACOR will significantly benefit our staff and clients alike.”

ACOR have been working on projects for the Department of Defence Australia-wide for two decades. The company is involved from the planning and delivery of major projects, to facilities maintenance projects on the Estate Works Program (EWP) and on panels such as Defence Fuel Supply Chain Technical Expertise Panel.
