Grob Aircraft, with its new turbo-prop powered, G120TP has secured an important new customer in Asia by winning the competition to supply the Indonesian Air Force with its future trainer aircraft with deliveries to commence in 2012.

The G120TP was chosen by the Indonesian Air Force over the Finmeccanica SF-260TP and the Pacific Aerospace CT-4.

Asia is seen by Grob as a key region with the potential for several other Air Forces to follow Indonesia’s example by procuring the G120TP and delivering to their Training Organisations the highest possible advanced training potential at the lowest possible operating and maintenance cost.

The G120TP has also been identified as a serious contender for Australia’s Project Air 5428 where it will face off against the Hawker Beechcraft T-6C and Pilatus PC-21C.
