New to the market, Harwin’s SMT, EZ-Test Points are low in profile with a small PCB footprint, making them ideally suited to applications where space is at a premium such as the medical, aerospace, industrial, instrumentation and control systems industries.

They provide secure connection points, allowing test engineers to attach industry standard micro test clips which eliminating the risk of PCB and component damage.

They are fully auto-placeable, minimizing installation costs and are available in three sizes -  the largest size is suitable for standard test clips and hooks and the  2012 and 1608 metric footprint (0805 and 0603 imperial), suitable for micro test clips.

These components are designed for test engineers to use, permitting a clip-on facility and allowing hands-free testing. The test points are also effectively sacrificial – any damage to them during testing does not affect the final PCB function, as they are additional circuit elements.
