Hawker Pacific has been awarded the NZ Minister of Defence Award for Excellence in Auckland in a case of third time lucky.

The company had also been nominated for the award for the previous two years and was recognised as a finalist in 2015.

Hawker Pacific was awarded a 5-year ‘turnkey’ performance based contract with the NZDF in 2012, to supply and provide maintenance support for four King Air B200 aircraft to 42 Squadron of the RNZAF.

Prior to entering service, a range of modifications were installed on the aircraft to meet the operational needs of the RNZAF.

The Ohakea based team have been working closely with NZDF to maintain the fleet ensuring the highest level of safety, availability and efficiency.

“We are very fortunate to be involved with such a professional and supportive customer,” Maurice Gordon, general manager NZ said. “This award acknowledges the excellence of those 42 Squadron personnel and Royal New Zealand Air Force Ohakea, whom Hawker Pacific work with on a day to day basis.”
