Calm Aluminium are suppliers of material for the aerospace, defence, marine and tooling industries.
The company supplys aluminium from 1000 to 8000 series alloys and offers ferrous and non-ferrous materials including aircraft grade aluminium, steel, stainless steel, titanium, cast tooling plate, engineering and medical grade plastics, and aircraft and defence grade precision lost wax casting products.
Fabrication services include router cutting, machining, precision plate, extrusion, bar and rod cutting, and general light fabrication.
Calm Aluminium's current and past contracts include supply of material for the F-35 JSF, ESSM, M113 upgrade, Nulka, E-7A Wedgetail and Army's communications system PARAKEET.
Calm Aluminium represents various overseas companies including Vista Metals (USA), Kaiser Aluminium (USA), Alcoa (USA), ALUnna Tubes and AMAG.
The company recently won the best outstanding specialised business award and also the Business of the Year award at the 2017 Campbelltown Local Business Awards.
In July/August this year the company will install a new water jet cutter that will increase Calm Aluminium's in-house capabilities and faciltitate machining of metals up to sizes of 3 x 6 metres and 200 mm thick.
