Myriota has appointed Richard Leon as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) as the company prepares for its next phase of global growth and an upcoming capital raise.

"Richard is a world-class technology CFO with an exceptional track record for helping innovative companies scale globally," CEO of Myriota, Ben Cade, indicated.

"Beyond his impressive achievements, Richard is himself making the decision to join a business whose mission, global potential and relentless approach to growth align. We're delighted that he sees the opportunity ahead at Myriota as we build the leading platform for physical world intelligence."
Leon joins Myriota following a career leading technology companies through major growth milestones, including global expansion, strategic acquisitions and successful capital raises.

Most recently, he served as CFO at Altium, returning to the company after serving as its CFO from 2008 to 2016. He played a central role in Altium's $9.1 billion acquisition by Renesas Electronics and led a capital raise totalling $45 million.

Between those appointments, Richard was CFO at Infomedia from 2016 to 2021, where he led an $85 million raise and delivered a fourfold increase in Infomedia's share price during his tenure.

According to the company, his appointment comes at a pivotal stage in Myriota's growth. The company is advancing its position as the global platform for physical world intelligence, enabling organisations to connect remote assets at scale and transform field data into operational insight.

“Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to work with technology companies at pivotal stages of growth. Myriota has all the ingredients of a category-defining business: differentiated technology, a growing global market and a talented team with a clear vision,” Leon stated.

“I’m excited to partner with Ben and the team to execute that vision, build on the company’s strong financial foundations and support the next stage of Myriota’s growth."

Leon's appointment has followed a period of momentum for Myriota, including the launch this year of its HyperPulse hybrid satellite and cellular IoT network and AssetHawk asset tracking platform.

The company is now focused on translating that momentum into global customer adoption, platform expansion and long-term shareholder value.
