Arican Advisory and Capital welcomed Aaron McMahon to their global business development team as a Senior Adviser yesterday. He will be directing his focus to the exciting opportunities for Defence Industry in Australia's north.

A graduate of the Royal Military College Duntroon and former officer in the Royal Australian Engineers, McMahon offers more than eight years of direct military service insights, and still currently serves as a reservist.

Since leaving full-time service, he has spent the last decade cultivating strong operational management and consultancy skills across various sectors, including Defence and Government, Not-For-Profit, Public Health, Digital Marketing and Disruptive Technologies.

A highly qualified management professional, McMahon holds an MBA, Master of Commercial Law, Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice, and a Bachelor of Economics.

Complementary to his recent work in the Northern Territory with the Office of Defence Industry Support, McMahon will work with Peter Shaw and James Illingworth to identify opportunities for Arican's Australian, US and UK clients, north of the Tropic of Capricorn.

With substantial focus and investment into improving capability in the north from the Australian and US Departments of Defence, he will work with the Arican team to offer clients access to a critical network of decision-makers and their unique insights to the need of Australia’s Defence capability.

"I am pleased to announce that I will be joining Arican Advisory and Capital as a Senior Adviser within the global business development team. Arican is Australia’s leading pureplay Defence advisory and offers Defence clients access to a critical network of decision-makers and their unique insights to the need of Australia’s Defence capability," said Aaron McMahon, newly appointed Senior Adviser for Arican.

"As my Defence and industry network in the north are aware, the Australian and US Departments of Defence both have a strong focus on investing in and developing the capability outcomes in the Northern Australian region. Complementary to the work I have been engaged in with the Office of Defence Industry Support, I will be working alongside my international colleagues, Peter Shaw and James Illingworth to identify opportunities for Arican’s Australian, US and UK clients north of the Tropic of Capricorn."

"I look forward to working with the Arican team and their clients and continuing to strive to make a meaningful impact for the Northern Territory, the Australian sovereign capability and wider industry."
