Australian based laser platforms manufacturer Norseld has announced the completion of its acquisition of photonics capabilities from BAE Systems Australia.
The transaction was completed 11 August 2023 with Norseld taking over contracts on key defence platforms.
“We are very excited with this opportunity to grow and develop the photonics capabilities both domestically and internationally and have some great opportunities ahead of us,” said Peter Shute, Norseld CEO.
The photonics acquisition complements Norseld’s existing capabilities in medical laser and diamond coating for a range of industries including medical, optics, defence and space sectors.
