UGL has commenced its role as the Defence Fuel Network Managing Contractor, a milestone that marks the start of a six-year, $500 million contract.
Under the contract, UGL, a member of the CIMIC Group, will provide a range of essential services, including strategic advisory, supply management, operations and maintenance for the ADF's extensive fuel network.
“As we take on the role of the Defence Fuel Network Managing Contractor, we underscore our dedication to supporting the ADF and strengthening national security,” said UGL Managing Director, Doug Moss.
“With over 350 skilled professionals stationed at more than 120 Defence establishments, we are ready to ensure that the ADF's fuel network operates at its best. UGL is committed to continuing its role as a reliable partner in Australia's defence infrastructure.”
For international robotics, maritime and aerospace company Exail, which is partnered with UGL in its bid to secure the Royal Australian Navy’s Sea 1905 project, the contract commencement is a significant development.
