Penske New Zealand has opened the doors to its new Christchurch facility.

To coincide with the opening, local commercial vehicle dealer, Heavy Trucks, is joining the Penske NZ family and is also relocating to the new Penske Christchurch site.

The new Penske Christchurch facility will provide full retail sales, parts, and service support for the Western Star Trucks, MAN Truck & Bus, Dennis Eagle, MTU, and Detroit brands.

Customers will continue to receive the experience to which they were accustomed with Heavy Trucks, while also benefiting from the broader Penske New Zealand network including the Auckland and Tauranga locations on the North Island.

“We are very excited to open the doors to our brand new facility and to welcome the Heavy Trucks employees to the Penske New Zealand family,” Jim Livermore, director of Penske New Zealand, said.

“With our new Christchurch facility, we will be able to build on the great reputation that Heavy Trucks has earned on the South Island for exceptional customer service.”

The purpose-built Christchurch facility comprises 1,860 square metres of workshop space, a 500 square metre parts warehouse, and 900 square metres of office space and amenities.

“The state-of-the-art workshop houses 18 truck bays, a machine shop, a drive-through wash bay, and two full-length service pits fitted out with the latest servicing equipment, providing exceptional amenities for our staff, our customers, and their assets,” Livermore said.

The new Penske Christchurch facility is located at 2 Headquarters Place, Hornby South, Christchurch.
