West Australian companies Matrix Composites & Engineering and Echo Marine Group have announced a new collaboration agreement to pursue specialist naval related opportunities.
Matrix and Echo are neighbours within the Australian Marine Complex in Henderson, WA and have worked successfully together on numerous prior projects. Echo – through extensive support from Naval Ship Management Australia – currently assists with the sustainment of the ANZAC class vessels on numerous tasks.
Matrix Chief Executive Officer, Aaron Begley said the new agreement is reflective of the long-standing relationship between Matrix and Echo and provides a good foundation from which to explore and pursue new directions.
“This agreement is a testament to the positive relationship that we have fostered with Echo over the years,” Begley said. “Our complementary capabilities provide us with an exciting opportunity to develop fully integrated composite solutions for our naval customers, thus enhancing the long-term sustainment of naval platforms.”
“Aside from the good working relationship we share with Matrix, Echo and Matrix share many synergies that will help to ensure this new collaboration is beneficial for our companies and our clients alike," Mark Stothard, Echo Owner and Director, said. "Both firms are solution providers that strive to provide the best in innovative product design, materials, quality and service."
