Australian defence industry can now apply for grants to help fund innovative projects that will benefit strategically important industry capabilities know as Priority Industry Capabilities (PICs).
The first application round for the PIC Innovation Program grants opened this week with up to $45 million available through to 2018-19 for PIC Innovation Program grants.
Grants of up to $4million are available to help Australian defence industry introduce new technologies, put existing technologies to new uses in new sectors and defence domains, commercialise applied research and improve sustainment and upgrade capabilities to support a PIC.
Applications for the first PIC IP round will close Friday, January 6, 2012.
