Dynamics Information Systems announced recently that it had successfully
completed a comprehensive risk-reduction program for the Navy's Knifefish Surface Mine Countermeasures
Unmanned Undersea Vehicle.
The unmanned Knifefish is intended to be part of the Littoral Combat Ship's mine warfare mission package and is
scheduled to begin operations in 2017.
The system will include two unmanned undersea vehicles, spare parts and support
equipment.
