The Land Warfare Conference 2012 will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from October 29 Oct – November 2, 2012 with the theme being, Potent Land Force for a Joint Maritime Strategy.

Individuals who wish to make a presentation related to the theme or other categories highlighted below at the LWC 2012 are requested to submit an unclassified abstract of max 300 words before May 21, 2012.

The Abstract must be submitted on the template which is supplied at the conference website: http://www.dsto.defence.gov.au/lwc2012/

  • Amphibious and Littoral operations
  • Unmanned Vehicle Systems
  • Lethality and Fire Power
  • C4ISREW
  • Soldier Modernisation
  • Simulation, modeling and training
  • Force protection
  • Mobility and Counter mobility
  • Logistics, casualty managements
  • Emerging technology (nano-technologies, MEMS, wireless networks, space based system, power generation technologies etc)
  • Combat systems: Counter terrorism
  • Technologies for and operations in Urban Warfare

The above topics are not all-inclusive. Any area that directly relates to enhancing Land Warfare Capabilities will be strongly considered.

Selected Authors Notified: May, 2012
Deadline for Submission of Paper : Audust 30, 2012

All presenting authors must register with payment by 20 August 2012 for their papers to appear in the program and the conference proceedings.

Early Bird Registration until August 30, 2012: $300+$30 GST; August 31, 2012 onwards $500+$50 GST

Note: Acceptance of paper for presentation does not waive the conference registration fee.
