At MilCIS2011, there are four types of presentations for which proposals may be submitted: (refereed) Paper Sessions, Update Sessions, Product Sessions, and Tutorial Sessions.

Paper Session

The refereed paper stream provides an opportunity for researchers in academia, government and industry to present the results of their investigations in research associated with government and military communications and information systems and network centric warfare.

All papers accepted into this stream have been refereed (on the full paper) in accordance with DEST requirements for an E1 conference paper.

The refereed paper stream in MilCIS is co-sponsored with the IEEE and all papers accepted into the stream will be published in IEEE Xplore.

Refereed paper presentations are 30 minutes in duration.

Update Session

A presentation in the update stream provides a non-commercial update of key technologies and/or issues associated with government and military communications and information systems and network centric warfare.

Updates are 60 minutes in duration.

Tutorial Session

The aim of the tutorial stream is to provide a non-commercial introduction to key technologies associated with government and military communications and information systems and network centric warfare.

Tutorials should be as interactive as possible to ensure that participants are actively engaged in exploring the issues surrounding the topic.

Designed to accommodate topics longer than those suitable for the one-hour update sessions, tutorials may be two or three hours in duration.

Product Session

A presentation in the product stream provides a brief on a commercial product or capability associated with government and military communications and information systems and network centric warfare.

Product briefs are considered a form of sponsorship, the cost of which is outlined in the Conference Sponsorship and Exhibition brochure (currently $2,500).

Product briefs are 60 minutes in duration.

Call for presentations on all of the afore mentioned sessions close on June 7, 2011.
