Opportunity to register interest in Ministerial Trade Delegations

Australian defence industry companies and business associations are being encouraged to register their interest in joining overseas ministerial trade missions.

Austrade has established an online facility to enable suppliers to register their interest.

Federal Minister for Trade and Investment, the Hon Andrew Robb AO MP, announced in late 2013 that the Australian Government intends to see business delegations often accompanying Ministers and the Prime Minister on overseas visits.

Trade missions can advance Australia's diplomatic and economic interests and they also provide opportunities for companies to promote their international competitiveness.

"A coordinated approach between government and industry will send a strong message to our overseas trading partners that Australia is open for business,” Robb said.
