Former manager of Mercedes Benz Military Vehicles in Australia, Mark Dixon, will run the New York Marathon on Sunday raising funds for charity.
As a former Army Officer, Dixon has chosen Soldier On, the charity supporting many Australian servicemen and women to realise their potential after their military career through specialised services including psychological support, peer linkages, educational opportunities and employment assistance. Dixon, now in Germany with Mercedes Benz, has been training hard, shedding over 26 kgs so far, and he plans to fund his own way from Germany to New York plus his accomodation costs in the Big Apple. He is aiming to raise $10,000 and has already raised over $7500.
