TAE has been granted European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Part 145 approval for their Adelaide operations.
This significant step expands TAE’s global reach and enables the company to undertake repair, overhaul and maintenance in countries and regions, such as the Pacific Islands, that do not typically accept CASA or FAA Part 145 approval.
The scope of the approval encompasses TAE's current turboprop engine overhaul capability consisting of Pratt & Whitney PT6A Series, Honeywell TPE 331 Series, GE M601 and GE H80 and the Hamilton Sundstrand APS 500 and 1000 Series APUs.
The approval also extends to the companies component business including Auto Flight, Communication and Navigation systems, Electrical Power and Lights, Flight Controls, Fuel Control, Hydraulic Power, Indicating and Recording Systems, Propeller Governors and Instruments products.
On receiving the certification general manager, TAE Andrew Sanderson said “The EASA approval will further build our global service network and meet the increased demands of our customers.”

The approval comes at an opportune time as the company launches their $1.2 million Engine Component Maintenance facility.

In addition to the recent EASA approval, TAE also possesses CASA and FAA certification for its aviation maintenance activities in Adelaide.
