The US Army is fielding two new intelligence-sharing systems for US troops operating unmanned aircraft in Iraq and Afghanistan to mitigate the problem of intelligence going stale.

The army decided to develop the two systems - one known as Fuse and the other known as the Federated Data Archiving and Retrieval System (FDARS) - because unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) operators were not receiving relevant targeting data in the moment they needed it.
