Engineering and manufacturing company Varley Group has announced a $10 million partnership investment in US Defence Avionics Company, Coherent Technical Services (CTSi) at the Avalon Airshow.

CTSi a proven technology solution provider to NASA and to the US Military with expansion envisaged to include solutions for platforms such as the F-35 JSF.

This international partnership will help in driving the Australian Government’s STEM & Innovation agenda through CTSi platforms such as Mudbucket and Audible Sight that provide the opportunity for input of Australian expertise and jobs through platform expansion.

Mudbucket is a platform evaluation system that saves time and money in testing and training across a broad range of military platforms due to rapid testing and evaluation process systems. It has already been proven on platforms such as F/A-18, F-15, M1 Abrams Tank, CH-47 and Apache.

Audible Sight uses acoustic signals to identify and locate targets and for stealth navigation.
Varley Group managing director Jeff Phillips said the Varley investment streamlines the process for CTSi to introduce its technologies to the Australian market while providing Varley Group with an expanded customer portfolio for its engineering services in the US.

“This means expansion, innovation, opportunities & jobs in both our great countries.”
