AFC has announced the release of the MCPC (Multi Channel Physical Contact) fibre optic cabling system. This system is ideal for any outside plant, industrial, mining and infrastructure application.
These IP rated connectors use proven MT ferrule technology to deliver a high fibre count in a smaller footprint than traditional cylindrical connectors. The MCPC is hermaphroditic (non-gender specific) in design to allow for easier daisy chaining of assemblies, where longer lengths are required. “These ruggedized assemblies offer fast and efficient deployment, especially when used with the integrated pulling eye, dust cap and reeling systems AFC offer” says Michael Gauci, Senior Product Manager.
“The robust design is IP 68 rated to ensure maximum protection from dust and water ingress for continuous data transmission and offer up to 24 fibres with a 30% smaller footprint than conventional connectors” continued Michael.
