WA Indo-Pacific Defence Conference 2018

While the trend toward an increasingly integrated Indo-Pacific was initially viewed from the perspective of economics, trade and energy flows, it is increasingly apparent that the rise of the Indo-Pacific era also has major implications for national defence and regional security.

The 2018 Western Australian Indo-Pacific Defence Conference at the Crown Ballroom will convene strategic thinkers from the military, industry, academic and government in Perth Australia, home to Australia’s largest naval base, a growing defence industry, and a vibrant civic and academic community.

This conference will promote the State’s defence capability to national and international defence stakeholders. The aim is to provide new and relevant information from high-level speakers to educate and inspire our local industry, and to assist them in becoming world class and globally competitive (export ready).
