Women in Defence Industry Panel Discussion and Report Launch

The Australian Government's recent investment of $200 billion in defence capability over the next decade offers significant opportunities for the defence industry, and will require substantial workforce growth to deliver Australia’s security needs. If defence industry is to meet the projected growth in demand for skilled workers, it must become an employer of choice for all segments of the workforce. This means finding new ways to attract and, just as importantly retain, women with critical skills.

The panel on the day will discuss challenges and opportunities for defence industry organisations - from four different vantage points - as they reflect on career choices, and/or prepare their workforce and workplace to take advantage of these growth opportunities.
