The International Space Investment (ISI) initiative program guidelines have been launched for the 'Expand Capability' stream.
The initiative is part of the Australian Civil Space Strategy and aligns with Australia’s National Civil Space Priorities.
The Expand Capability stream is an open, competitive grant opportunity that will provide funding of between $100,000 to $4 million to Australian businesses and research organisations. The funding is for projects that build the capability and capacity of the Australian space sector through engagement with international space agencies or their supply chains.
Applicants must be an Australian-incorporated company or a publicly funded research institution.
The three assessment criteria are: the project's benefit to Australian space industry; capacity and resources to deliver the project; and the impact of grant funding on the project.
The Department of Industry, Innovation and Science is responsible for administering the program on behalf of the Australian Space Agency.
Grants will open 5 November 2019 and close on 17 December.
