Advanced Armour Engineering (AAE) has signed a strategic manufacturing partnership agreement with Kazakhstani harness manufacturer, WireTech, to produce mission critical wiring harnesses, cabling looms, and accessories under licence in the United Arab Emirates for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) market.
“This partnership is a strategic addition to our manufacturing portfolio in the UAE,” CEO of AAE, Tim Leam, said.
“By combining WireTech’s proven engineering expertise in high-specification harness manufacturing with AAE’s advanced production standards, we are creating a localized, highly reliable supply chain for defence and heavy vehicle OEMs across the GCC region.”
The agreement was formalised during an official signing ceremony attended by Leam alongside CEO of WireTech, Diyar Khamzin, and Technical Director of WireTech, Askhat Aliyev.
"This partnership marks an important step in WireTech’s international growth and brings our expertise closer to customers across the GCC,” Khamzin said.
“By combining WireTech’s experience in high-reliability electrical systems with AAE’s manufacturing capabilities in the UAE, we are creating a strong platform to deliver locally manufactured solutions for demanding defence and heavy-duty applications.”
Under the terms of the agreement, AAE will establish licensed manufacturing operations in a dedicated, environmentally controlled facility in the UAE. Commercial production is scheduled to commence in Q4 2026.
According to the companies, the facility will specialise in high-reliability electrical systems engineered specifically for armoured fighting vehicles, tactical military platforms, and severe-duty commercial transport applications.
The new production line will operate to international military and automotive quality benchmarks, addressing rising regional demand for localised, high-spec electrical distribution systems built for extreme operating environments, the companies claim.
