An Adelaide-owned and operated company creating simulators for cars, trains and even airport security has won the state's leading export award at the annual Business SA Export Awards luncheon at the National Wine Centre.

Sydac, whose global clients include London Underground, Bombardier, Eurostar, ScotRail and Railcorp, won the Premier's Award for "Excellence and High Achievement in Exports".

Sydac has been providing simulation solutions for over 20 years, and is headed by CEO and co-founder, Adrian Smith.

Sydac creates "real-to-life" simulator vision and builds exact replica train cabs so drivers can be trained in safety procedures and dealing with unforeseen events.

This year, Sydac has diversified its simulators to a research car simulator for Monash University and airport baggage security screening simulator for Jakarta Airport.

As well as winning the Premier's Award, Sydac also won the "Education Adelaide Education Training Award".
