ADI launches ATIC

ADI Limited has opened what it believes is a world-leading facility, the Australian Transformation and Innovation Centre (ATIC).

The ATIC - a battlespace transformation centre - was opened by the Federal Minister for Defence, Hon Brendan Nelson MP, at ADI's Garden Island facility last month.

The ATIC provides a simulation environment capable of incorporating thousands of individual entities - from entire task forces to individual soldiers. Part of a network of 12 similar centres throughout the world, the ATIC will enable Australia's military forces to develop systems which are capable of identifying targets and moving forces to deal with threats more quickly than any potential enemy.

The ATIC enables collaboration and teaming by Australian and Allied land, sea and air forces - and at the same time incorporate real and simulated forces.
