Welcome to the February 2022 edition of ADM: Guided Weapons and Electronic Warfare.

ADM Editor Nigel Pittaway opens this month's edition with an editorial which unpacks the meaning of true sovereign capability. Also in this issue, Nigel writes about Australia's precision weapons capablity, JP9102 (MILSATCOM), the C4 EDGE trials with Army, and the ADM Defence Estate and Base Services Summit (DEBSS) which was held in Canberra in December.

ADM proudly announces the winners of the Women in Defence Awards 2021, with a write-up by Group Editor Ewen Levick and Associate Publisher Kylie Leonard. We introduce a new column by Mike Yeo which covers the latest news in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region, and Mike also writes about Electronic Warfare in a regional context. Senior Correspondent Julian Kerr looks at Defence's guided weapons aspirations and Multimedia Reporter Roya Ghodsi covers an innovative new computing device used for safeguarding Defence data.
