Aviation is remarkable for the giant technological leaps it has made over the last century.
This progress would not have been possible without parallel achievements in the control and reduction of aviation's safety hazards.
Given the many ways that aviation can result in injury or harm, those involved with aviation have been preoccupied with preventing accidents since the earliest days of flying.
Through the disciplined application of best safety management practices, some organisations have seen the frequency and severity of aviation occurrences decline significantly.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
CEOs, Accountable Managers, and members of management who have responsibility or oversight for maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
Any whose role involves change management, team building or culture development or who are seen to represent management to operational and technical teams.
WHAT IS COVERED?
The purpose of this course is to explain just what is expected of an aviation Safety Management System in terms of corporate responsibilities under ICAO, CASA requirements and address International civil aviation authorities and Defence Force groups.
It is often found that a dedicated quality/safety team work very diligently but find it difficult to overcome a lack of understanding within and support from their senior management.
Regulatory authorities all over the world are concerned that senior management should exercise strong leadership in this area because, ultimately, the "accountable managers" are responsible for the safety of their operation.
We have kept the duration of the course to three days to allow for busy executives with very tight schedules to attend.
This three-day program is solidly based on the SMS model designed by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) and accepted by the CASA other international regulatory bodies and Defence force groups.
It is designed to help leadership and management to promote, initiate, maintain and improve their management systems.
Only in this way will they truly comply with regulatory requirements for "Management Responsibility" and still get the maximum return on their SMS investment.
