Sydney-based Defence and aerospace equipment company Pacific Dynamics has merged with Defcon Technologies, a privately owned Australian company also based in Sydney.

Established in 1991, Pacific Dynamics supplies and supports specialised aviation ground support and safety equipment for the regional Defence, Aerospace and Aviation industry. The company represents several leading manufacturers of aircraft servicing equipment, including UK based companies Juniper, Risbridger, GKN Aerospace Services, and developer of parachute training simulators, US based Systems Technology Inc.

Established in 1998, Defcon Technologies supplies and supports radio communications equipment, specialized C4IW technology, and personal safety and protection products. Its customers are primarily the Defence, government security & law enforcement sectors. The company is accredited to ISO9001 and is a recognized supplier and contractor to the Department of Defence.

According to Defcon managing director Nick Stokes, the merger will benefit both firms' customers, suppliers and project partners by providing access to their combined resources and knowledge base. Founder and Managing Director of Pacific Dynamics, John Burleigh will head up the newly created Pacific Dynamics division of Defcon Technologies in the role of Director, to maintain continuity and expand the Pacific Dynamics business. A Business Development Manager is being recruited to assist him in this process.
