Additional product improvements have also been implemented.
The new housing design is fully plug-compatible with the previous design.
The old ordering numbers will still be used.
The following product improvements are being introduced with the change:
- Stainless steel locking parts: all parts for the locking (lever, pins and rollers) are manufactured from stainless steel.
The size 1 locking is equipped with rigid pins and a cushioning locking lever.
For size 2 and larger, the locking lever is rigid and the opposite side is equipped with moving rollers.
- Powder coating and surface: a more impact-resistant powder coating offers much better protection against damage.
The surface can also always be corrected as far as shrink hole inclusions and burring are concerned.
- Glued flange seal: the flange seals on the built-on housing are not separately included as was previously the case; instead, they are already glued, so that now they cannot be forgotten or incorrectly assembled.
- Paint-free screw thread: unlike in the previous manufacturing sequence, the housings are now machined only after having been painted.
This also prevents paint tracks on the screw thread.
- Printing: the previous pad printing has been replaced by laser printing, which is more resistant and which, more importantly, delivers a more uniform image.
