Australia-based EWS Asia Pacific has announced the appointment of Stuart Jackson as their Managing Director.

Jackson will be managing the operations for Canberra-based EWS (AP) in Australia, New Zealand and the Asia Pacific region, supporting whole of government, defence, intelligence and security clients to help build regional capability.

Jackson brings almost 38 years of experience as a Communications, Electronic Warfare, CIED, CT, Intelligence, RF Spectrum and Technical Surveillance professional with careers spanning both the British and Australian Armies.

He has significant operational experience; the majority of which included being attached to or serving with international partners. Since he left the permanent defence force in 2012, he has served with the Defence Reserves in addition to running his own businesses.

As a result of his recent commercial experiences combined with his military career, as MD of EWS (AP) Jackson will be concentrating on helping clients grow a sovereign capability in several key areas.

“I am thrilled to not only join EWS Ltd. but also to be given the opportunity to take up the position of Managing Director of EWS (AP)," Jackson said. “EWS Ltd. is globally renowned for the quality and breadth of its skills and services to governments, defence and security teams and the challenge of establishing and growing its Asia Pacific presence is one that I could not refuse.”

“We think it’s vital for the future of citizens and communities across Asia Pacific that we help to build a sovereign capability that is proactive rather than reactive," Jon Gower, CEO of EWS said. "Stu’s wealth of experience in this area will help us build collaborative and mutually beneficial relationships within the defence, intelligence and security communities across the region.”
