Holmwood Highgate has successfully won a contract to develop and deliver 6 Mobile Bulk Aviation Tankers for the New Zealand Ministry of Defence as part of its Garrison and Training Support (GATS) Project.

The design and build phases of the contract will be shared between its Brisbane and Melbourne facilities.

The value of the contract is within $5 - $10M NZD and will underpin the Holmwood Highgate core manufacturing teams In Queensland and Victoria. Delivery will commence in early 2021. 

The GATS Project covers the NZDF’s domestic operational and training support vehicle fleets. A number of specialist vehicles (such as aircraft refuelling, fire appliances, and medical response vehicles) are scheduled for replacement.

These provide critical capabilities within New Zealand either delivering or supporting outputs such as emergency service activities, humanitarian and disaster relief, as well as day to day support to military training and domestic operational needs.
