Moog Inc. has celebrated the official opening of its new office in Canberra.

ACT’s Defence Industry Advocate, Kate Lundy, officially opened the office with a ribbon cutting ceremony held in the new facility located at 33 Ainslie Place, Canberra.

Moog has opened the new office in Canberra as part of its support of ADF sovereign capability requirements. Expanding to and establishing local presence in Canberra facilitates closer contact between Moog and its key customers including the Commonwealth, the ADF, and key primes.

“Moog has made a substantial contribution to Australian industry and the ADF over the last 40 years. The opening of this new office is a key milestone that allows us to better serve key stakeholders,” Bryan O’Connor, Managing Director, Moog Australia said. “This positions Moog to play an active role in the development of Australian sovereign capability requirements on future ADF platforms.”

Following a number of acquisition programs, Moog are preparing to add further manufacturing and sustainment capability to support a number of ADF platforms and systems.

The Canberra facility, which will operate as a sales and program management office, is Moog’s third location in Australia - adding to its head office located in Heatherton in Melbourne and other sales office located in Bella Vista in Sydney.
