Babcock Australasia's (Babcock) supply chain engagement has skyrocketed at Avalon Air Show. The company used its presence at the show to seed export opportunities for Australian defence suppliers and showcase sovereign capabilities to the world, as part of its ongoing contribution to the Global Supply Chain Program (GSCP).

“Avalon Airshow provided the perfect platform to engage with industry leaders, government representatives, key partners, and of course suppliers – new and existing - to map the latest capability needs and build resilience in Australia’s industrial base,” Babcock Australasia Global Supply Chain Program Manager Kellie Jenkins said.

The Babcock team has connected with nearly 200 suppliers during the biennial tradeshow, hosting delegations and visiting with small and medium enterprises (SME) across the four-day event.

“The connections we’ve established here reaffirm the vital role Babcock plays in strengthening Australian industry capability and positioning the nation’s technology and services on the global stage,” Jenkins stated.

The GSCP is a Commonwealth initiative designed to identify alternative revenue streams and export opportunities for domestic suppliers through the global supply chains of Australia’s defence primes. Babcock is one of 13 primes that participates in this collaborative endeavour.
