DroneShield has opened a new Sydney headquarters with the help of the Minister for Defence Industry and Capability Delivery, Pat Conroy.
"The fact that you’re in the defence industry, the fact that you get up every day and make the world a safer place, is an even greater contribution to this country. We’ve got about 100,000 people who work in the Australian defence industry, and I’m looking at about 200 of them right here in front of me today," Conroy said.
DroneShield was founded in 2014 and has continuously focused on creating counter-drone technologies that protect people, assets, and infrastructure from the threat of drone-based attacks.
"Thank you for the contribution you’re making not just to Australia but to a free world grounded in principles of human rights, and the right of every single person to live free from interference, free from aggression, free from bullying. So, thank you. Here’s to many more years of brilliant innovation in this wonderful building," Conroy stated.
The company has an annual manufacturing capacity of $500 million and over 1,000 DroneShield units are currently deployed in Ukraine.
