Frequentis C4i has announced it has been under contract for over eight months to provide multi-domain communication systems for the Australia Defence Force’s (ADF) next-generation Air 6500 Joint Air Battle Management System (JABMS). It has partnered with Lockheed Martin Australia to deliver these systems.
“By integrating our advanced hardware and software solutions, we are enhancing the ability of the military to communicate securely and effectively across all domains. This capability is vital for responding to threats quickly, especially in challenging environments,” Managing Director of Frequentis C4I Darren Gardner said.
C4i will develop sovereign voice communication systems with a built-in intuitive Human Machine Interface (HMI) that will connect into JABM C2 networks. The testing will occur at C4i’s technology lab headquarters in Melbourne.
“C4i brings a wealth of experience to AIR6500. Their robust, secure technologies are highly established and operated by defence, governments and industry in over 40 countries. This partner integration will enhance the ADF’s ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations," Program Director AIR6500 from Lockheed Martin Australia, Rob Milligan stated.
The AIR6500 program is key to the ADF’s national security strategy, in which it wishes to enhance capabilities across air, land, sea, cyber, and space. Frequentis C4i’s technology will help achieve this national security strategy by enabling secure, real-time communications critical for joint force operations.
