The tenth Singapore Airshow is set to get underway at the Changi Exhibition Centre tomorrow (3 February) and once again the event has attracted companies from across the region and beyond.

Although the exhibition hall is again dominated by ST Engineering, aerospace companies from China are showing an increased interest in the event and their presence is spearheaded in the daily flying display by the People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) aerobatic team Ba Yi (August 1).

Western manufacturers too, see Singapore as an important event on the exhibition calendar, with most of the large US primes being represented, along with European organisations such as Airbus and Saab. According to Leck Chet Lam, Managing Director of the show’s organiser, Experia Events, the Asia-Pacific region accounts for more than half of global aviation growth.

“Asia-Pacific accounts for more than half of global aviation growth, Singapore Airshow 2026 brings together more than 1,000 companies from over 50 countries and regions, reinforcing its position as Asia-Pacific’s premier aerospace and defence platform,” he said.

Alongside the aerospace event, the show organisers are running a space summit for the first time.

“For the first time, Singapore Airshow extends from air to orbit with Space Summit 2026 (2–3 February), convening global space agencies, policymakers and industry leaders to shape Asia-Pacific’s space economy,” Chet Lam said.

From a defence perspective, the Republic of Singapore Air Force is seeking to recapitalise its ageing fleet of Lockheed Martin C-130 Hercules airlifters and Airbus A400M and Embraer’s C-390 Millennium are prominently displayed in the aircraft static park outside the halls.

The ADM team is at the event, so be sure to check back here for more news as it happens.
