Prime Minister Scott Morrison has announced a reshuffle of ministerial positions in a press conference, moving Peter Dutton from Home Affairs to Defence and former Defence Minister Linda Reynolds into government services and the NDIS.

Christian Porter is moving from Attorney-General to the Department of Industry, whilst Karen Andrews moves from there to Home Affairs and Michaelia Cash takes on the Attorney-General position and Industrial Relations.

Minister for Defence Industry Melissa Price retains her portfolio, which has now been re-elevated to Cabinet after a demotion following the last election.

Minister Reynolds remains on medical leave.

"What I've done today is put together a structure in my government that can deliver the outcomes people are demanding," PM Morrison said. "It's another step. There are many more to come and I'm looking forward to making more announcements on that."
