Cirrus’ Managing Director Peter Freed has announced that the company has secured an additional Defence contract, following the Commonwealth’s exercise of an option.

Under the new contract, engineering services provided by Cirrus in support of the Tactical Electronic Warfare (TACEW) system will be further expanded to support an additional TACEW system recently delivered by Cirrus to HMAS Stirling (WA) under a previously announced contract.

"The Cirrus TACEW is a world leading EW training system which has been in operational use at HMAS Watson since 2019," Freed said. "Cirrus is pleased not only to have completed delivery of an additional TACEW system to HMAS Stirling, but also to have been further contracted to support the RAN at HMAS Stirling in addition to HMAS Watson."

Cirrus has successfully provided other training systems for the Navy, including the Communications Centre simulator at HMAS Cerberus, and the Mine Hunting Simulation System at HMAS Waterhen.
