The Australian Missile Corporation has announced a collaboration agreement with AME Systems – a Victoria-based company specialising in manufacturing customised electrical parts for military applications.
“AME Systems is a proud Australian company which has invested heavily in staff capability and the latest technology to deliver solutions for a range of industries including defence and aerospace,” AMC CEO Lee Goddard said.
“They are a prime example of the incredible innovative spirit and unwavering commitment to creating highly skilled local jobs that exists within the Australian defence industry.
“We look forward to teaming with them and our other partners to support Australia’s guided weapons and explosive ordnance enterprise.”
Founded in Ararat in 1977, AME Systems has more than 400 employees based in Ararat, Melbourne and three factories in Malaysia.
In recent years, the company has been expanding strategically into the defence and aviation spaces, supplying global giants such as Northrop Grumman, Boeing and Bombardier.
Its electrical harnesses and assemblies are being used by Boeing Australia in the manufacture of RAAF’s MQ-28A Ghost Bat.

AME Systems joins more than 350 Australian and global partners who have indicated support to the AMC in establishing a guided weapons industry in Australia.
The AMC has been invited to work alongside other industry partners including Lockheed Martin Australia and Raytheon Australia on the acceleration of domestic GWEO manufacturing options to increase Australia’s self-reliance over time.
