AUSEV has partnered with US-based robotics company, Crow Industries, to bring the Fenris Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) to Australia.

“This partnership is a natural extension of AUSEV’s commitment to delivering the latest in AI-driven vehicle technologies to key strategic sectors,” AUSEV Chief Strategy Officer, Brendan Kenny, said.

“With our track record in homologation, local manufacturing, and deep relationships across the mining industry, we’re proud to help introduce this next-gen technology to the region.”

Under this partnership, AUSEV will serve as the exclusive distributor of the Fenris UGV across Australia, New Zealand, and the Asia-Pacific regions, while Advanced Manufacturing Queensland will locally re-manufacture the UGVs at its facility in Queensland.

“Australia’s vast and demanding environments make it the perfect proving ground for the next generation of autonomous systems,” Founder and CEO of Crow Industries, James Crowell, stated.

“Our partnership with AUSEV and Advanced Manufacturing Queensland brings together the best of American robotics innovation and Australian manufacturing expertise. By producing Fenris onshore in Australia, we’re not only building world-class autonomous systems, we’re strengthening sovereign capability and ensuring the region has the resilience it needs in critical sectors like defence and mining.”

The Fenris UGV has been engineered to operate autonomously in complex and remote environments, from gathering critical geological data in mineral exploration zones to undertaking support roles in modern battlefield scenarios. Featuring swarm capabilities and advanced AI, the platform has been designed to enhance safety, efficiency, and performance.

AUSEV has wishes to deliver high-performance, Australian-made electric vehicles and infrastructure solutions tailored to local industries and markets. The company has facilities equipped with advanced R&D capabilities, vehicle production lines and charging technology development.

Crow Industries was founded in 2018. The company has developed advanced autonomous systems for the mining, defence, and energy sectors. It is backed by Techstars, Outlander, and Winklevoss Capital.
