KBR’s creation of a five-year work program and data driven supply chain plan will aid the Royal Australian Navy’s maritime sustainment strategy.

“Our approach focuses on strong capability stewardship, fostering a high level of collaboration to ensure the RAN is able to deliver its obligations to Government," Vice President Australia Defence and Security Solutions Nic Maan said.

The Capability Life Cycle Managers (CLCM) help enhanced fleet availability, cost-effective sustainment, sovereign capability development, improved collaboration with industry and futureproofing of the fleet. The CLCMs are a major component of the Maritime Sustainment Model, part of Defence’s new national approach to sustainment.

“The plans are an incredible achievement by the team just months into the CLCM contract and provide enormous value in providing a long-term view of the sustainment needs for the fleet," Maan stated.

KBR became the Capability Life Cycle Manager (CLCM) of the Navy’s Amphibious fleet in July 2024 and possesses a team based at Fleet Base East, Garden Island.
