The US Navy has released footage of its aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) successfully completing its first 'Full Ship Shock Trial' event in the Atlantic Ocean. 

The US Navy's shock trials use live explosives to test the shock hardness of new ship designs, to ensure they can withstand harsh battle conditions.
