Aspen Medical’s delivery of healthcare professionals to Defence bases across Australia, as part of the Medibank Health Solutions (MHS) contract with Defence, has been formally accepted by Joint Health Command (JHC), December 7, 2012.

Aspen is contracted by MHS to provide medical practitioners, specialist and allied health professionals to all on-base Australian Defence Force (ADF) facilities across Australia.

This is the outcome of the largest services tender conducted by Joint Health Command for healthcare professionals for the ADF.

Dr Andrew Wilson from Medibank Health Solutions said, “This is another major step in delivering better co-ordinated health care for all eligible Defence personnel.  We are delighted to partner with Aspen to provide care for our servicemen and women in uniform across all ADF bases.”

Aspen Medical is currently one of the largest providers of healthcare services to the Defence Force, both across Australia and in operational zones.

Aspen is providing complete healthcare solutions in the Solomon Islands and Timor to Australian Government personnel.

Aspen is also contracted by the Department of Defence to deliver the ‘Care of Battle Casualty’ first aid training course to all ADF personnel deploying to the Middle East.

Aspen in the UK is providing healthcare personnel to the British Ministry of Defence for deployment into Afghanistan.

Aspen in the US delivers healthcare, disaster response and humanitarian assistance training on behalf of the US Government around the globe, supporting both US and UN operations.
